Endless Spectrum Of Self

As humans, we experience a lot of different senses. We feel things, we see things and we hear things. At the same time we have thoughts, we have feelings. In this point, how can there be consistent being if everything that forms it changes ? Is this possible to emerge in Endless Spectrum Of Self ?
We know that memories are our brain’s reconstruction of past experiences. Through this experiences, we create these memories to fit the present narrative based on what we know now, how we describe ”me ” as well as our presents needs and goals.

In medicine, palliative care aims to reduce suffering among people with serious and terminal illnesses. It focuses on improving the quality of life. In other words, taking temporary stances against confusion shows us palliative touches in the daily life of the individual.
Sigmund Freud argued that humanity must use dive into palliative measures in order to achive pleasure and avoid unhappiness. These are the strongest motivators for all human. In this way, we can accept the pain rather than resist it. Because the resistance against pain leads to neurosis over individiuals. Art, sexuality and religion are some of the biggest palliative measures according to him.

But the most powerful palliative measure is the discovery of self and it’s endless interpretatiton over again. One of the survival mechanisms of the modern individual is based on constant identification and creating stories through enslaving the concepts.
The existential burden over humanity was due to the persistent impositions of civilization. civilization has now created an economy of happiness separate from all other spheres.
However it is not easy to embrace the uncertanity of life. Limitless control over our thoughts exhaust us easily. In this point , there is no clarity anymore. Rigorous analyses over self and resist the fluid nature of life.

The Age of Me
Why do we need to define ourselves at every moment ? We live in an age of self obsession. Self-esteem, self- identity, self-sufficiency and self- awareness etc. All the word begins ”self” terms. This became complimentary part of us. We belive that this ”self” needs to fulfill our expactations more than enough. In addition to this, when the excessive observing our emotions expand beyond our expectations in real way, we trapped in the pit of excessive self concepts.
The constant emphasis on the fragile and puny nature of the self emphasizes the need for constant intervention in the management of the individual’s life. The individual’s constant concern with himself/herself and the psychologization of the life creates an obsession that is associated with ourselves.
In particular, Achievement Society restructure the ”self” specifications. In this way, every attempt to interpret ourselves tries to hold on to an identity that constantly changes and transforms through experience.

Unfortunately all we do is observe ourselves. The modern individual is trapped in his or her own awareness. It show us that is stuck loop in vicious cycle. Excessive preoccupation with the self created a vicious circle of the individual spinning around its own axis and in constant need of definition.
In addition to this, identity crises have arousal by the time. Find a meaning is like an open source system, It has turned into a continuously flowing process of limitless definition and updating that anyone can code on and build meanings. All of the individual’s conclusions about himself occur within a very fragile range on a thiny spectrum.

Endless Spectrum of Self: Illusion Of Self
According to Alan Watts, we must learn to see beyond the surface level of reality, to look beneath the and percieve unity of all things. The self is a not fixed, unchanging entity but is a fluid and ever chaning process. The conventional notion of a self as a separate, indepented identity is seen as an illusion, a mistaken belief that leads to suffering and fear.
Rather, the idea of self is one that is constantly recreated by our brains when the need arises. Even through life is unpredictable, we try to adjust our lives (changing process and dynamic) in every piece of details. Active engagement with life nagivate our lives but the urge to control ourselves pave the way big resistance that threats us.

According to Annaka Haris, our brain are processes in nature that are ever-changing, ever-evolving that we are in constant communication with the external world and that the boundaries between ourselves and the world are not as solid and firm as they appear to us.
In other point, there is wide range of semantic saturation or rumination in regards to constant identification of self forced us to revolve around our narrow perception. When we look at the mechanism of brain, all beliefs and thoughts about ourselves is changing and transforming. And also, we are always behind in what we experience when we try to identify this experiences.

Clearly, achievement society attempts to cover it up. Achievement Society, there is excess of positivity in contrary to collapse of negativity. In achievement society, we become performance machines . Requirement for perfectionism came up with high cost of high achivement !
The psychologization of life has created individuals who constantly monitor themselves. Trapped in the cage of their own thoughts, the individual is left with the obsession to control and organize everything.
Finally, no matter how we feel, the activity of naming whets the individual’s appetite for the inexhaustible details of the world.
